The "Contributor Level" is for those who'd like to establish a presence on the site and have their contributions logged and associated with their account. This level of use is the default account level assigned upon creating an account. Anyone filling out the form for an account can have "Contributor Level" access.
Status:
The "Contributor" level is the initial level of Logged In use of this glossary. Therefore, an account is required
At this level of use, the visitor is identified and gets credit logged for their efforts with the glossary. The number of terms entered and the number of definitions entered is logged.
Capabilities:
There is no change in capabilities over the "Visitor" level of use; data entry options are the same.
Having an account, and thus an email address on file, facilitates being contacted by an "Administrator" to clarify a term or definition entered by the "Contributor".
Procedures:
The "Contributor" (like those at the "Visitor" level) is not expected to provide html codes to link to other terms while entering a new definition. However, if you'd like try it the instructions are in the "Editor" manual. Note, however, that Editors can edit their errors... if you make an error in coding and then save the term/definition, you have no way to edit/fix the problem. You'd have to get it right, the first time!
